Semmes Community, if you are facing food insecurity, you are not alone. SES is stocking our lending library with non-perishable food items to operate as a blessing box. The concept is simple: take what you need, leave items if you can. Anyone is welcome to take what you need, and anyone is welcome to help keep it stocked.
The box is located along the side walk in front of the school, on the gym side.
If you have a child that attends SES and you are facing food insecurity, please email Mrs. Blow at kblow@mcpss.com or call the school at 251-221-1630 for additional resources.

4th/5th Grade girls are invited to the SMS Cheer Clinic! 📣
The clinic will take place on December 9-10 from 4-5:30pm in the SMS cafeteria. The performance will take place on December 11 during either the boys basketball game or the girl's game (specific times will be announced later). The clinic is $35, this includes a tshirt, snack, and their ticket entrance for the game. They will learn a cheer, chant, and a dance to perform for the spectators of the game. Parents will need to purchase their own ticket for the game either at the door or on gofan.co. Space is limited so ticket availability will be on a first come first serve basis.

Waivers, permissions, and money are due no later than November 21, 2025. Money can either be brought to the school (Semmes Middle) in an envelope with an attn line for Ms. Barnhill or you can pay the $35 on gofan.co.
